Whether your floor came pre-finished from the factory or your floor was sanded and finished on site, with simple preventative maintenance and use of one of the following products, your finish should look great and last for years.

Bona Kemi Hardwood Floor Cleaner / Maintenance Kit
Non toxic waterbased cleanser for all non-wax finishes. You can use this cleaner as much as necessary and there will be no build up of dulling residue.
Always vacuum or sweep before cleaning to pick up loose dirt. Lightly mist an 8' X 8' area of wood floor with cleaner. Using the Bona kemi mop from the wood floor wipe kit, use a back and forth motion to clean the floor. Complete one area before proceeding to the next. Use a freshly laundered Bona kemi terrycloth cover when soil builds up. A new Micro fiber cover is now available which has superior dirt holding ability. For stubborn spots or rubber heel marks, spray cleaner directly on the spots and wipe more vigorously. Use as needed on household traffic.

Equinox Floor Defender Pads
An essential preventive maintenance product that will reduce wear from unprotected chair legs or any other furniture. The dense Olefin fiber provides long lasting protection while the peel and stick adhesive and foam center layer ensure the pad will conform to the furniture leg and remain there indefinitely. Floor Defenders are available in a variety of sizes and package quantities.

PolyCare Concentrate Cleaner
From the makers of Last n' Last Polyurethane, this concentrated cleaner will "clean your floors like never before." A safe, effective cleaner for all polyurethane treated surfaces that leaves no soap film residue, but will leave a clean, fresh outdoor scent.
Add 1⁄4 cup of polycare to 1 gallon of warm water. Wash floor as usual with a just damp mop or clean sponge. No rinsing required. Avoid leaving any standing water or puddles on floor. To speed up drying, go over floor with clean, soft dry towel or mop.

Dura Seal Renovator, Paste Wax and Dura Finish Liquid Wax
Traditional wax floor maintenance products from Dura Seal are for use only on previously waxed wood floors. Although wax floors require more frequent care, a properly waxed and buffed floor looks spectacular and will last indefinitely.

Dura Seal Paste Wax

• Natural or Coffee Brown

• 1 lb or 6 lb Containers

Directions: Apply to floor after thorough cleaning (see renovator below) using a 175 rpm buffer/polisher. Using a clean dry cloth or buffer/polisher with white buffing pad, buff the floor to desired luster. Let dry. Dry time may be affected by high humidity, low temperature, lack of air movement or applying to heavily. A little wax goes a long way (3000 s/f per 6lb. can)

Dura Seal Renovator
A special blend of solvent and resin that cleans and reconditions hardwood floors previously finished with Dura Seal Penetrating finish, paste wax or liquid floor wax.

Directions: Using a brush or lambswool applicator, apply Rennovator to approx. 100 s/f at a time. (1 Gal per 900 s/f) Wait 5 minutes for Renovator to loosen old wax and dirt. Scrub the floor with #2 steel wool until the the floor is dry and all of the renovator, wax and dirt are removed. This will require the periodic changing of the steel wool pads. Dispose of the steel wool, rags and waste in a sealed, water filled metal container in accordance with local fire regulations. Allow no less than 4 hours dry time. If desired, reapply paste wax or Dura Seal "Dura Finish" liquid wax.

Dura Finish Liquid Wax
A durable wax finish for use on hardwood floors and may even be used on unglazed tile.

Directions: Apply a thin, even coat using a lambswool applicator, cloth or pad of fine steel wool. Allow to dry and polish to a satin luster with floor polishing machine or cloth. Overnight dry time is suggested before subjecting floor to traffic.
